Baseline announces new advanced water flow management and site management capabilities for the BaseStation 3200 smart irrigation solution. Using new flow management capabilities, facility water managers can now build a more precise model of the hydraulic structure and optimize water use based on PSI readings, smart water source selection, and enhanced leak detection, saving even more water, time and money. One of the new site management features expands concurrent operation to 99 zones, enabling significant reductions in water windows.
The new flow management features include:
More Precise Hydraulic System Map Brings Better Flow Resolution
You can now build an accurate model of your hydraulic system in the BaseStation 3200 controller software from the water source to a master valve, pump, or hydrometer, to a mainline and down to a zone. The ability to specify pipe sizes and connectors gives you more visibility and control over your irrigation system than ever before.
Pressure-based Flow Management Improves Control
The BaseStation 3200 can now start, stop, and pause programming based on pressure (PSI) readings. Even better, you can program zone delays based on pressure or shut down mainlines based on high or low-pressure readings.
Optimize Use of Water Sources with “Smart” Source Selection
We taught the BaseStation 3200 a new trick. It is now “smart” enough to evaluate water sources and select the best one based on user defined criteria. For example, the 3200 can assess the GPM needs for a particular zone and choose the smallest water source that can supply that GPM based on flow.
Enhanced Leak Detection Saves Even More Water
Our team engineered a three-strike leak detection for the BaseStation 3200 to save more water and money. If a flow variance is detected on a mainline, the BaseStation 3200 monitors the flow readings. When three consecutive readings are above the limit, the 3200 automatically shuts down the point of connection to prevent further leaks thus saving money and water.
The new site management features include:
99 Concurrent Zone Operation
The BaseStation 3200 previously supported 15 concurrent zones from its own transformer. With this new release, you can add 15 more concurrent zones with each additional SubStation. While the BaseStation 3200 supports up to eight SubStations, now it has extended its limit of concurrent support to 99 zones.
Non-Irrigation Zone Management
We see a lot of sites that could save time, money, and resources by automating their lighting systems, water features, ornamental signs, and more. Wouldn’t it be nice if a single controller could manage the irrigation zones and all of these other systems at the same time? The BaseStation 3200 makes all of that easy with new programming capabilities and zone configurations.
